The Thirteenth Doctor

Post by Deadpool on Mon Jul 17, 2017 12:05 am

The BBC today announced to the world that Jodie Whittaker will be the new Doctor Who. She will be the Thirteenth Time Lord and take over from Peter Capaldi who leaves the show in this year’s Christmas Special.

New head writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall, who takes over from Steven Moffat on the next series, made the decision to cast the first ever woman in the iconic role.

Jodie, known for Chibnall’s hit show Broadchurch, says:

“I’m beyond excited to begin this epic journey - with Chris and with every Whovian on this planet. It’s more than an honour to play the Doctor. It means remembering everyone I used to be, while stepping forward to embrace everything the Doctor stands for: hope. I can’t wait.”

Here’s how Jodie was presented to the world as the first female Doctor Who:

Tom Baker was the last doctor who I remember, it's good to see that the BBC has moved out of the dark ages and into the Victorian era, where it's deemed possible for women to improve themselves by socialising at basket weaving in the modest utterance of other women, and not being flogged at thought of it, I suspect this is why the Beeb are feeding us Lord Snooty Rees Mogg on a permanent basis, as a sign that they've now landed in that epoch.

No doubt the 26th Doctor Who will be a confirmed bachelor.

John pertwee, is the first doctor i remember way back when.

I think this is a great move to a female incarnation, And hope she will bring it back from the darkness of peter capaldi`s doctor.

Perhaps that why I said Tom Baker was the last one I can remember! Anyway,,,, I don't think I've ever seen it since then, of course Blake 7 and Servalan made a greater impression!
