Oh, I so miss my gas cook top but not the greasy residue that that left on everything that the rangehood didn't exhaust out of my home as efficiently as it was supposed too.  Miss my griddle in the center for making morning breakfast and grilling steaks; I think it was called a 'Jenn Air' type of Chef range top.  Left it behind when I relocated here for my mom 18 yrs ago.  But I did purchase a glass top {electric range w/oven} self cleaning - oven ...best purchase & decision EVER!  My built in double ovens were grand in my other place but this very small rural farm home wasn't able to handle my Chef sized appliances so I moved away and left them behind.  Switching from cooking with gas to electric sure took some adjustment ...still have to heat up milk in the microwave then put it into a pan on the stove top or I'll scorch it and allow it to boil over!  Maybe, I just SUCK at trying to be a 'CHEF' ...that's plausible!  LOL
And that LIGHT ...WOW, this place just didn't have enough light - didn't have an exhaust range hood - not set up correctly so everything is about 5' distance from stove to counter to sink in a really bad layout = exhausting.  But all of my proper cabinets and counter tops are out in the garage.  Hoping to finish that project as my mobility & ability return.
Your marvelous kitchen gives me HOPE!  It's lovely, really lovely!  I love you

Oh, how lovely - very - very lovely; I'm GREEN with envy!
And I'd be never getting my over clean again had it not been for my 'self-cleaning' setting; with my mobility issues, getting down {even with the door off} and cleaning that oven out ...OMG.
BTW - my DAM oven light did burn out ...way the hell in that far back wall - behind a 3 screwed in ring with a glass dome and a seal; had to take that dam door off get my flashlight - long necked screw driver and of course my battery one wasn't going to work for that distance ... Mad
It took me nearly 3 hours from start to finish to get that dam little bulb out of there and the new one back in and all those parts back together in order and try to hold them while getting a stubby screw started too!
I cursed the man that designed that DAMED set up many times over!  That dang bulb had better live longer than I do!  4 sure! Twisted Evil

I hope your oven light is in an easy access place.  LOL
