Chateau de Gudanes

Post by Aspca4ever on Tue May 16, 2017 3:12 pm

Oh, Philiagain & dearest Doug ...I just found this location via FB Chateau de Gudanes and OMG - OMG, it's just so enchanting and currently under revitalization by an Australian couple and their teenage children.  You must check out their FB page and see all of those amazing photos ...
Oh - how I'd love to see this place in REAL LIFE!

It's quite a back story on how they found that gorgeous place and secured the sale ...had it not been for their teenaged son surfing the internet for rural locations in France for sale they'd had missed it!  Amazing, love - love watching restoration type work being done and in my youth loved doing such work hands on!
Places my mind can take me now that I'm not financially or mobility able to go ...love my internet access!  I love you

My cousin, who is quite a bit younger than me, retired a couple of years ago, they sold their house here and bought a beautiful place just outside a tiny village at the base of the Pyrenees, just where Spain and France meet. I'd love to find the time for a visit!

Gotta make a 'TRAVEL PLAN' list; now that things have a brighter side for pops and extra help via your brother ...seems like short jaunts to visit relatives could be doable.  Fun to dream anyway, and I'll bet that the scenery there is breath taking too!  Razz

That's a thought, at least we can have the fun of planning it.

Oh, so lovely and that red leafed vine against that stone wall - those lovely formal gardens; love them but I'd sure hate to do all that needed trimming for sure!
