Simply Glorious Day Today

Post by Sassy on Sat Apr 08, 2017 10:03 pm

I hope everyone was lucky enough to have the beautiful weather we had today, could have been the middle of summer. I hope some of you got to share it, it was the kind of day that makes you forget the troubles of the world, for a little while anyway!

That is so annoying. Have to say, the family next door were doing the same, so we took my Dad and our dog to Sandringham Forest, it was lovely.

For how many years though?

This happens almost all the time when the weather gets warmer, he seems to want to destroy all the neighbours chances to get out into the garden.

He's about 90 now, so hopefully peace will come about in the end.

Perhaps he is making something important? Offer to help him to get it finished?

Or ...he could be like me, dear Philagain; out there banging away venting my frustrations before I GO POSTAL ON SOME ½ WIT that so needs it!
  Razz  Shocked  Twisted Evil
Another frosty start to my day, but the sun was shining brightly and warmed up - a brisk wind and lots of smoke from those permitted pasture fires burning.  My eyes - Oh, my eyes; I look like those last hours of lazy day of summer and life guarding - my eyes burn and are BLOOD SHOT!
But I had a good fellow come over and heft up my 10' solid wood garage door - the automatic opener has burnt out so now it's all manual labor and beyond my ability.  So he lifted it up and there were 4 different sized ring necked snakes lounging right under the rubber edging.  LOL, that young man moves very - very fast.  I stood there and LMAO and shooed them away with my cane --- trying to keep them from going deeper into the garage;  I finally had to scope 3 tiny ones up and show them the outside world, the biggest one took the hint the first time.
But I did get all of my mowing done - the wind blew most of all that right back into my face & down my shirt - Rolling Eyes  and the neighbor brought his John Deere front loader over and scooped 2 loads from my dirt pile into my tractor tires for me so I can try to get my strawberry plants started again.  Mom & I had the best strawberries when she was alive, but then she got worse and my condition went to shit and the drought got my berries.  But I've got great dirt in those ole iron rimed tires now.
But I'm POOPED, but feeling satisfied ...feels so good to get things done, and I did all of my chicken chores early this morning - fed my hens some thawed mixed veggies and French style green beans - that made the so happy.
News is on and my hands are telling me to QUIT.  TTYL gang! I love you

I'm all for 'venting one's frustations' Razz

...But shouldn't we all be able to enjoy our gardens from time to time free from such noise from time to time?

When I first moved here {17yrs ago} one of my first projects was running my speaker wires outside and burying them in an old white hose ...4 speakers with some serious 'WOOFER' capacity = 4 all weather speakers.  2 for my east side of my property and 2 for my west side of my house ...I'd crank up my 5 cd changer with my favorite musicals and let the ♫ ♪ MUSIC PLAY LOUDLY♫ ♪
2 of my favorites: Phantom of the Opera and Lion King; that last one got my very churchy closest neighbors wandering  scratch
WTF, I was ...but when I cranked up my Enigma and that low bass and chanting vibrated off the walls - well I got a few phone calls!  cheers
Guess the rumor was, I might have been a Satanic Worshipper Blah blah

Then you need to:
a. invite him over for that festivities
b. by including him you make him aware that you appreciate the need for people to hear the music and enjoy the Paaaaarty!  LOL

LMFAO!!!!

He is a racist and a homophobe! WE know exactly what he's like as do the neighbours at the other side of him (they are a mixed raced couple) They have been here longer than us!

I want sedate! It's just going to be a few friends and family back here for a sedate reception with low key chat etc....We have a lovely garden and don't want to go to the hotel until later!

I love you
