David Cameron says Abu Qatada’s deportation appeal deadline was ‘repeatedly checked’

If that is correct - and I have no reason to believe that it isn't - then at the time of his arrest it should have been a fast car to LHR to a specially chartered plane fully fueled up and ready to go so that he could have been on his way to Jordan before all this appeal nonsense was allowed to kick in.

If it turns out that the PM is wrong then it would just have to be an Oops, sorry about that but we acted on the advice from the EU.
