Political Compass

Post by Guest on Fri Feb 24, 2012 5:00 pm

All this RW/LW talk got me to thinking perhaps my views might have changed since the first time I took the test in February 2011:

...and today:

Economic Left/Right: -2.12
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.08

Not significantly it seems, slightly toward the left. If anyone else would like to compare their results here is the link: http://www.politicalcompass.org/index

Well how timely FTL, I do hope Fred takes this. On the Paxman thread in Current Affairs I think Drinky has just seen that the policies Fred supports are LW, as is the SNP, so either Fred only supports them for independence and nothing else, or he isn't RW at all and supports them for convenience. In which case, he must be very worried as by voting for them he has allowed them to impliment LW policies. How convoluted is that!

I'm not surprised that my result has remained fairly consistent but if I'd have had to put money on it I would have thought it would have moved slightly right rather than left

From memory I think pretty much we were all left wing when we did this, even Mr Doodles lol!

Did your result surprise you Nems? I hope others do this too, so much emphasis is placed on whether your views are RW or LW on forums. In my day to day life generally I rarely come across it at all scratch

Couldnt agree more. I am completely baffled as to why everything has to be LW or RW on here.

My result is a surprise really I am more libertarian than I thought. If I had taken that test about 5 years ago I would have been well in the blue!!

You make it sound like a crime Drinky affraid lol!

Actually I would put myself centre right rather than centre left based on my limited political experience. How did you score? If my memory serves me correctly didn't you post this initially on ADO? Good to see you btw Very Happy x
