My dear misguided moderator. You've got it wrong again. You obviously don't understand Scottish politics. The SNP is a party which represents ALL Scots who care for their country. We don't have class and other petty irrelevant divisions like you have down there. Our membership includes those from the centre left to the centre right. Our aim is to make Scotland the best place to live and work for ALL Scots. This obviously involves working together and helping to achieve this objective. Yes, everyone in the SNP will tell you that there are a couple of policies which they personally do not favour, but, we work together on the policies we agree on and compromise on the others. I know this is difficult for those south of the border to comprehend, but like it or not, get used to it because that's what the SNP are about. -- I am very proud to be a member!!. --------------------I find English party politics very ODD, there is never a shared goal of improvement it seems to be about creating divisions in English society. But if that's what the English want then I will not critisise. -- So please do not critisise the Scots political system.

As my OH is a Scot why would I criticise it. I do understand Scottish politics, what I was pointing out, which you love to avoid, is that the POLICIES of the SNP are the most socialist policies in Britain, which they are. Not talking about class, or divides etc etc. Policies.

You are getting confused again. 1261 - You are totally wrong. "loony left publications" such as the Guardian and the "Socialist Worker" will never give you an accurate description of policies anywhere and certainly not in Scotland. Stick to the political system you know and love and leave Scottish politics to the Scots.

So Alex doesn't want unlimited immigration then, thats all made up, don't make me laugh!

and:

Respondingto the public support for SNP policies, Deputy First Minister and SNP DeputeLeader Nicola Sturgeon said:

“TheSNP is setting the policy direction for 2011 as we respond clearly to thepriorities of the people of Scotland.

“Oncouncil tax, prescription charges and the powers to grow our economy, it is theSNP that is on the side of the people of Scotland and Labour that areincreasingly out of touch.

“Weknow that UK Government cuts will have a devastating impact for many, but wherewe can make a difference we will, and the council tax freeze provides relieffor hard-pressed families and individuals during tough times.

“TheSNP is the only party with a clear commitment to protect family incomes. By freezing the council tax, delivering theliving wage to NHS and government employees and ensuring the sick do not payfor Britain’s broken economy at a time when the UK Government is pushing taxesup and slashing spending, we are turning the unfair policies of successiveLabour, Lib Dem and Tory Westminster administrations into a fair system for thepeople of Scotland.

“Andwhen it comes to taking responsibility for Scotland’s future, more and morepeople living in Scotland agree that we can achieve much more as a nation if wehave the same powers as other countries. The economic and financial levers of independence would give us theability to create jobs, deliver sustained growth, and chart a different pathfrom a decade of dismal Westminster cuts.

“Itis only right that at such a difficult time the SNP does what we can to protectthe poorest in our society, and I’m delighted that the vast majority of Scots, regardless of political persuasion, agree with us and want to join us in makingScotland better.
