It's a wonderful day.

Post by Guest on Sat Nov 05, 2011 10:10 am

Sun shining, frost on the ground, autumn tints on the trees, sun glinting on the river. On a day like this, the world is a wonderful place and feelings of peace and tranquility abound. Wish you all a very happy day. --- Fred.

Morning Fred.

Clearly, we don't live in the same part of the UK....
The weather here is flat grey skies. It seems to suck all the autumnal colours out of the leaves Sad The only positive is that it is still reasonably mild.

....I can't wait for Summer sunny

Pouring with rain, wind blowing, not nice at all, are you sure we have not swopped places in the night Fred?

I love the winter!
Sorry guys, but the winter suits me at the moment as I am staying in quite a bit due to being a big old lump and feel all snuggly and cosy.

I love the summer, but nasty weather gives you a reason to stay in and cuddle up, so I'm not complaining!

I don't mind if it's a very short winter ..I even like snow. We have fun building snowgirls, snowball fights and all fun things associated with preparing for Christmas, but as soon as the 1st January arrives, I want the SUN back.

Icy roads are not my idea of fun when I have to go out or take the children anywhere. No

I'm going back to spec again on Tuesday to have my knee op rescheduled that I should have had at the beginning of the year. As the problem was caused by falling in ice and snow, if any comes down I shall be indoors and have everything delivered!

I've heard of Doctors making house calls, but never one where you can have an operation at home... lol!
Home delivery will be top of my priorities if the weather gets as bad as I've heard it will...Siberian winter expected.

From the Daily Express:

BRITAIN faces a sudden shivering end to the exceptionally warm late autumn with temperatures plunging towards Siberian levels.
Winter weather will arrive with a vengeance with temperatures well below zero within the next fortnight.
Experts then predict a bitterly cold December with thermometers falling at least as low as -15C (5F).
Snow could hit the country even earlier than last year when a big freeze at the end of November sent temperatures to -20C (-4F), crippling transport. And some forecasters fear that temperatures could plunge as low or even lower this winter.

The internet is indeed a wonderful thing! I shall stay tucked up indoors, I do all my banking on line, food shopping etc, if its like that outside! As for the op at home, I have bought a well recommended sterilising kit and offered the specialist a nice hot coffee afterwards!

Just back off a mini break ---- Weather cold and damp today. Doesn't matter though, life is for living and been for a long walk by the river this morning. We should all work on the principle that if we are finding the weather annoying, it's because we are wearing the wrong clothes.

Yesterday was a glorious day, warm and sunny sunny so today's weather was a little bit of a let-down, but I don't mind a change now and again...
