This shows the mess the far left has got itself into and is the product of new nearly three decades of muddled thinking and snuggling under the comfort blanket of single-issue politics too much. The whole [single] issue business for example,of supporting minority groups regardless of their merits, purely because they are a minority and therefore [so the confused logic goes] clearly victims and so must merit support, has fallen apart spectacularly over the anti-semite/islamic radical conflict. The far left doesn't know what to do any more; it based itself in fighting anti-semitism in the sixties and seventies, then supported the muslim radicals after that believing that they were deserving of self-determination because they were 'victims of western imperialism,' and then the radical muslims turned out to be the most rabid anti-semites of the lot!

What a mess. The far left needs to get its act together again, get back to basics and face up to some fundamental truths about the 21st century world around them. They need to start campaigning for the eqaulity of ALL peopel in the world again, and stop being obsessed with cherry picking victim groups to blindly support,because that invariably comes back to bite you on the bum [and this isn't said out of gloating over their failings and problems, but more out of concern for an old friend ]
