Personally I think its a downright disgrace that we send ANY funding whatsoever abroad, for ANY reason...!

It is said to be to help developing countries to 'get onto the development ladder' so as to ultimately assist us in THIS country...errrm?????

IF thats the case then can "they" explain WHY we increasingly host most of the worlds rubbish here... and who cost us dearly... despite their OWN countries being funded from the UK...?

Even the UK's Milton Keynes has recently seen the killings of two very young Somalian youths, allegedly murdered by OTHER Somalians said to be "from the area"...one of whom allegedy had already been caught stealing from shops despite only having been here a short time himself...?

IF this is the result of 'AIDE well spent' then I'm sorry but I want a REBATE...

It also seems that the majority of other 'similar murders' e.g. shootings-stabbings-gang 'related's' - here are also by courtesy of those we have "funded" somewhere along the way...money well spent then...?

DO people here realise that, for instance, MOST of the educational programmes in Somalia and other, similar, neighbouring area's in Africa are fully funded by the UK while our own educational system, not to mention our (dis)ability to meet OUR countries costs for health and old age i.e. our OWN people HERE are being CUT dramatically?..........WHY?
As far as the mispending in Afghanistan goes then, imho, we are just paying through the nose to make the terrorists smarter...we could just STOP them entering the country for ANY reason...ask yourself WHY 90% of illegals trying to get from France to the UK via the ferries are fit young Afghans...
WHAT can they do work wise, and FOR WHO... IF successful anyway...?

The figures are a huge change for UK aid spending - some of the key facts are:

• The biggest increase in aid is for Somalia, which sees a 208% change. This is followed by Nigeria, with a 116% change
• The average change is a 25% increase, but this disguises big rises for some countries and huge cuts for others. The total budget will increase by 42%% between now and 2014/15
• India, which was thought to face a complete cut, will instead see a small rise of 2.19%
• Yemen sees an 80% increase over the same period - up to £305m
• Pakistan will receive the most aid - £1.4bn, up 107%
