EDL is to march against against Islam today in four towns and cities

The English Defence League (EDL) is to march against against Islam today in four towns and cities.

Anti-fascists will put on counter-protests against what they have described as a "summer of hate" by the EDL. Hundreds of police are expected to be on duty to prevent a repeat of violent scenes at previous events.

In Cambridge, EDL supporters will march in opposition to plans to build a mosque in the Mill Road area. A rival demonstration by Unite Against Fascism (UAF) will also be staged as thousands of families are expected to attend the city's Big Weekend celebrations of live music.

Both sides will also be taking to the streets in Plymouth. The EDL has been distributing leaflets in the city centre with pamphlets saying "defend our culture".

A planned EDL march in Derby was called off although opponents will still hold a Love Music Hate Racism festival at different venues in the city.

EDL will be staging its first demonstration in Middlesbrough, again over plans to build a mosque.

Ok, so originally they were against extremists, now its Islam, next week it will be anyone not white.

I haven't head the chant of "Blacks out" since the 70's, I just find it strange that colour is not an issue with ANY of the people I mix with, yet the Left ALWAYS manage to drag it into the argument!

Actually Mr D it isnt.....You see the problrm the left have is this...according to their Marxist view point they should be against religion " the opium of the people" so they find it difficult to support a "religion" Nor , since they want us all to live in the same little box with the same little lives and the same little view, can they stand on the reality of "celebrting differences" unless those "differences" are reduced to a sort of masquerade of mediocrity that is acceptable to all.

Now both you and I (and the left too if the truth be known) both know that the biggest threat to this country is a certain religion AND also the cultural practices of some (but not all) of its adherents BUT they are the left, so called champions of liberty so they MUST have a platform to argue from, hence the reduction of all argument to a matter of colour, upon which they can then pin the label RACIST and thus shut down the uncomfortable argument they are having to endure.They of course forget that the white adherents to that religion are just as dangerous as any other colour, and jsut as prone to the culturally unacceptable practices that unfortunately can append themselves to it.

The jibe reveals racism is still at the core of the British National Party - and makes a mockery of Griffin's insistence they are not hawkers of hate.

He made the remark to an undercover People reporter who joined the BNP last month - and landed a job as Griffin's minder.

The video is of him talking to a white lady, no child in sight. The only reason HE can think of why she won't vote for him, is that she might have a black baby and 'once they are part of the black clan' was added, so racist I think.
