Penguin Chick P-P-Picks Up New 'Parent'

Post by Guest on Fri Jun 03, 2011 8:16 pm

An abandoned penguin chick has been fooled into thinking a decorated black rubber glove is one of its parents.

The penguin chick was abandoned by its parents

Zoo keepers at Living Coasts in Devon have hand-reared the chick after its parents left it before it had hatched. The home-made penguin glove-puppet has been used so the bird does not become too used to humans. The glove has been decorated with red eyes and yellow plumes to mimic an adult macaroni penguin.

Manager Clare Rugg said: "This way contact is kept to a minimum. Yes, the chick will hear and see keepers, but it will also see the glove which has the shape and colour of an adult penguin."

Staff believe one of the penguin's parents became ill while the egg was being incubated. As it takes two birds to look after an egg, it was abandoned. The chick is being fed through a syringe every three hours during the day. To make sure the chick identifies with its breed, staff are also playing it a recording of the sounds of the macaroni penguin group.

Ahhh...now where have i seen THAT sort of behavioural pattern before???....Ah I know....just like the millions of sheeple inhabiting this country who follow the (rubber glove) celebs with such avid interest and desperately try to identify with them, spending billions of pounds yearly on pointless cosmetics and "magic" potion to improve their looks, who go on dangerous and idiotic diet regimes to try to look more like their celeb avatar, rather than them selves. Men and women alike.

All this to the exclusion of ANY rational thought or even vague consiousness of what is happening to their world around them, oblivious to the liberalists "takeover and destruction" of a decent way of life in favour of third world hell (For us of course....not "them").And devoid of the ability to to put forth logical and reasoned argument, this having been wrung out of them by the ruthless imposition of PC since early school age....Shuss...dont even think that and DO NOT ask THOSE kind of questions ....its wacist and it will go on your life report you horrid little 5 year old.......(since it is now OK for even 5 year olds, it seems from some older threads, to learn about the intimate details of reproduction, but NOT to have any independant thought about self determination or independant thinking, and MOST CERTAINLY not to have any thoughts about immigration (unless they agree with the curriculum) or national pride....

YUP not sheeple...but penguins........

Well thanks Victor, I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's official, you lot can make a political argument out of ANY story! Even one about a hand reared penguin chick lol! x
